415 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if Delegation of Function Orders have been made or will be made in respect of the Ministers of State at his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
416 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if all Ministers of State at his Department have been given clear indications of their areas of responsibility; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 415 and 416 together.
The Minister of State at my Department, Mr. Noel Treacy, T.D., has the following areas of responsibility: Energy Conservation; Renewable Energy; Energy and the Environment; Petroleum Affairs Division; Irish National Petroleum Corporation (INPC) and in particular the Development of the Whitegate Refinery; Exploration and Mining; Geological Survey of Ireland; Air Navigation Services Office (ANSO); Meteorological Service; Road Freight; Travel, Trade, Bonding and Licensing System.
These responsibilities have been allocated by way of direct delegation.
