Vol. 426 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Limerick Reservoir.

Michael Noonan

Question:

185 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the reservoir at Castletroy, County Limerick is leaking two million gallons of treated water each day and that this costs Limerick Corporation £100,000 per annum; and the action, if any, he intends taking to address the matter.

The possibility of approving this and other priority schemes is being examined in the context of the 1993 capital provision for the Water and Sanitary Services Programme.
