Vol. 426 No. 5

Written Answers. - Environmental Protection Agency Appointments.

Máirín Quill

Question:

51 Miss Quill asked the Minister for the Environment the reason the Government have not yet appointed the Director General and other Directors of the Environmental Protection Agency and if he will ensure that these appointments are made as a matter of urgency so that the agency can commence and work.

There is a commitment in the Programme for a Partnership Government to press ahead with the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency. I expect to be in a position shortly to announce the names of the persons appointed as director general and directors of the agency.
