140 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he has received any submissions for increased charges for local telephone calls; if so, the basis of the submission; the increased charge requested; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department is currently considering a tariff rebalancing package proposed by Telecom Éireann. It would not be appropriate for me to comment on any individual aspect of this package in isolation until a decision has been made on the matter and full details of any package that may be agreed have been released.
