146 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Health if he has studied correspondence from a person (details supplied) in County Cork with particular reference to the non-filling of a GMS post (details supplied); if the vacancy has caused undue patient distress; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In response to a letter I have received from the person referred to by the Deputy I am currently examining the issues raised and I have asked the Southern Health Board to furnish a full report on the matter. As soon as my examination is complete I will write to the Deputy and reply directly to the person in question.
