Vol. 426 No. 6

Written Answers. - Raheen (County Wexford) School.

Question:

162 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the bad accommodation in Raheen national school, County Wexford; if she will ensure that the proposed extension and refurbishment of the existing building are put out to tender as a matter of urgency with a view to the work being completed in 1993.

Architectural planning has been proceeding on a major building project at this school. Because of other demands deemed to be of higher priority which had to take precedence it was not possible to include this project in the national school capital programme for 1993. It will continue to be considered for inclusion in due course in the light of available resources and other commitments and priorities.
