79 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment if he will introduce group water schemes for people who have no water supply; and if he will provide sufficient grant assistance so that individuals can afford to participate in these schemes.
My Department currently operates a group water schemes programme which provides grants to assist groups to develop their own water supplies. Grants up to £700 per house and £500 per farm are available in designated areas, and up to £600 per house and £400 per farm in other areas.
