107 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform when legislation will be brought into force to deal with the anomaly relating to people who were married prior to 1973 and are losing out on the joint ownership of the deeds to the family home.

The preparation of legislation to give each spouse equal rights of ownership in the family home and contents is being given priority and any relevant matter relating to that ownership will be considered in that context.
