Vol. 427 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dental Services.

Richard Bruton

Question:

113 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the proposed phasing of free dental services for children over 12 under the Programme for Partnership Government 1993 to 1997.

I propose later this year to extend eligibility to free dental services to school-children up to age 14 years and I intend to extend such eligibility up to 16 years over the course of the Programme for a Partnership Government.

The extension of eligibility will require an amendment to the Health Act, 1970.
