Vol. 427 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Monaghan District Veterinary Office.

James Leonard

Question:

56 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will increase staffing at the District Veterinary Office in Ballybay, County Monaghan, in view of the high incidence of TB and the increase in the incidence of brucellosis.

I am at present making arrangements to appoint an additional veterinary inspector to the District Veterinary Office, Ballybay. I will continue to keep the matter under review but must, of course, have regard to the constraints on staff numbers which apply generally.
