Vol. 427 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin House Repair.

Tony Gregory

Question:

155 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in making a decision on the replacement of a roof for St. Mary's Mansions, Dublin 1 as requested by Dublin Corporation.

There has been no delay as far as my Department is concerned. In response to the Department's request of 23 September, 1992, a report was received from the Corporation, on 12 January, 1993, outlining the reasons for a doubling of the original cost furnished by the authority for replacement of the roof. On the basis of the revised costings, approval issued on 15 February 1993 to the corporation's proposals for the acceptance of a tender for the provision of a pitched roof.
