Vol. 427 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Donegal Martello Tower.

Proinsias De Rossa

Question:

176 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Defence the responsibility, if any, he has for the ownership and management of the Martello Tower, Crowhey, Maghery, Dungloe, County Donegal.

The Department of Defence owns an area of land comprising 24 square yards at Crohy Head, in the Barony of Boylagh, County Donegal on which a look-out post was situated. The structure, however, is no longer there. The Department has no responsibility for a Martello tower at this location.
