161 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money allocated to Ireland for each of the years from 1988 to 1992 under the Envireg programme from the EC in respect of protection of the environment; the uses to which this money has been allocated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Envireg Operational Programme for Ireland, which was adopted by the EC Commission on 5 December 1991, provided for an allocation of EC aid as follows:

The money is being used to finance sewerage schemes for the elimination of coastal pollution.
