203 Mr. Shatter and Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if the Member of the Oireachtas to chair the task force on travellers has been selected; and, if not, if eligibility for this position will extend to all Members of Dáil Éireann.
I am currently in the process of consulting a number of organisations which comprise and represent travellers and the statutory bodies which provide services for travellers with a view to drawing up the terms of reference for the task force and selecting its membership. This process will be finalised shortly, when I will appoint a Member of the Oireachtas to chair it.
Eligibility for this position will extend to all Members of the Oireachtas.
