Vol. 427 No. 8

Written Answers. - Dungarvan (Waterford) School.

Austin Deasy

Question:

107 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if she intends to replace the building and eleven pre-fabs which cater for the students attending the Dungarvan Vocational School, Dungarvan, County Waterford, with a new permanent structure; and, if so, when.

The architectural planning of a new Vocational School building for Dungarvan was suspended in 1987 in the light of the declining demographic trend and its implication for future post primary enrolments in Dungarvan.

Nine new prefabricated classrooms have been provided at the school since 1990. There are no other proposals at present for the provision of accommodation in this case.
