120 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if she has satisfied herself that the Government's commitment in regard to the pupil/teacher ratio can be reached in view of the absence of any real increase in funds for teacher training colleges in the Estimates; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am satisfied that the provision for the funding of the Colleges of Education for primary teachers in 1993 is adequate; this provision is reviewed annually.
