Vol. 428 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cork Garda Appointments.

Bernard Allen

Question:

183 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice where in the Cork area recent Garda appointees have been assigned; and the duties these Gardaí will undertake.

The Garda authorities inform me that three recently trained Garda recruits were assigned to Cork East Division on 12 February, 1993. However, they also inform me that the allocation of new recruits throughout the country on the same date has facilitated the transfer to Cork East Division of five additional gardaí who had sought such transfer. All eight gardaí involved were assigned to Watercourse Road and Anglesea Street stations for outdoor operational duties.
