Vol. 428 No. 1

Written Answers. - House Grants.

Frank Crowley

Question:

257 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for the Environment the reason that photo-copied receipts and invoices are not accepted from applicants for new house grants where in many cases originals have been lost or destroyed, in view of the fact that a photo-copy clearly indicates that the original existed.

Applicants are required to supply the originals of any documents furnished by them to ensure that such documents are valid. In a situation where photo-copies only are available, these can be accepted provided they are certified as true copies relating to the application.
