Question:302 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when an installation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick as it is urgently required because this person is experiencing financial hardship; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
This application cannot be finalised until the applicant has furnished evidence that his title to the land in question has been registered in the Land Registry. I understand that registration in this case is nearing completion.
At a more general level my officials, at my request, are at present examining the installation aid rules with a view to ensuring the most effective application of the scheme and speeding up the payment procedures.
