Question:

466 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Education the reason no appropriate care appears to be available for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 who is not suitable for normal school and who is at great risk of becoming involved in illegal activities.

The issue raised by the Deputy has not previously been brought to the attention of my Department.

I am now having the matter investigated with a view to securing an appropriate and early placement for the boy in question.
