Question:39 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of people under all schemes in receipt of a free electricity allowance for each of the years from 1989 to 1992.

At 31 December 1989 there were 175,307 people in receipt of a free electricity allowance, in 1990 there were 178,486 recipients, in 1991, 180,875 and in 1992 there were 184,146 recipients of the allowance.
