Vol. 429 No. 3

Written Answers. - South City Project School Premises.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

245 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if she proposes to provide assistance to the South City Project School to obtain a school building, as their premises was recently burnt to the ground by vandals and the pupils and teachers are now without a school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department is actively assisting the school authorities to identify suitable temporary accommodation that might be available. The usual financial assistance will be made available to the school towards the cost of renting such accommodation and towards the cost of permanent accommodation in due course.
