89 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Finance the names of officials in his Department appointed to international organisations over the past two years; the posts, duration and salaries attaching to same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The following officials from my Department have been appointed to international organisations over the past two years: Mr. Phelim Molloy was appointed as alternate director with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on 20 May 1992. His salary is £stg 58,000 per annum. The duration of the appointment is two years. Mr. Colm Lincoln was appointed as a temporary expert with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on 1 April 1991. I do not have details of his salary or the duration of his appointment. Mr. Nick Ó Murchu was appointed to the World Bank on 1 December 1992. I do not have details of his post title or his salary. The duration of his appointment is three years. Mr. Michael Kelly is on secondment to the European Institute of Public Administration for a four year period with effect from 31 August 1992. The Department of Finance is paying his salary of £40,471 per annum plus an allowance of £12,000 per annum.
