Vol. 429 No. 6

Written Answers. - Kill (Kildare) Water Supply.

Alan M. Dukes

Question:

156 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for the Environment when he will make a decision on a proposal submitted to him by Kildare County Council for the provision of a connection for the Kill area of Monasterevan, County Kildare, to the main county water supply, in view of the fact that this proposal has been submitted to his Department each year for the past several years; and the reason the proposal has not yet been approved.

Contract Documents for the Monasterevan water supply scheme, which includes the Kill area, are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may be made.
