Question:

212 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will expedite payment of a special beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to validation check by computer. The problem with this application is being dealt with at present and when it is resolved the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will then be made.

There is no record of an application for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme from the person named.
