Vol. 429 No. 6

Written Answers. - High Court Judges.

Jim Higgins

Question:

104 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice if it is proposed to appoint additional High Court judges; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Judicial apointments are made by the President on the advice of the Government. The number of judges required in the courts is kept under review and any proposals for legislation which would increase the authorised complement of the Bench of the High Court would be announced in the usual way.
