Wexford): The Budget Statement of the Minister for Finance indicated that application would be made in 1993 for assistance from the Cohesion Fund for a range of environmental projects, including certain local authority solid waste infrastructure proposals.
In this context, application has been made to the EC Commission for assistance to Dublin and Kerry County Councils for a proposed waste-baling station and a proposed new landfill site, respectively. The decision of the EC Commission on these proposals is currently awaited.
