199 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Education if she will recognise the ordinary diploma in computer studies in the North-West Institute of Further and Higher Education, Derry, for grant purposes; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

In so far as third level student grants are concerned, my Department has not received an application from the institution in question to have this particular course approved for grant purposes.

Until it does so the matter cannot be considered.
