Question:88 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will restore a milk quota to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford which he held prior to selling his cows in December 1992.

The person referred to never held a milk quota as he was not involved in milk production in 1983 which was the reference year for the establishment of a milk quota under EC Regulations. His application for a SLOM quota in June 1989 was invalid because he did not participate in the non-marketing of milk scheme or the dairy herd conversion scheme.
