Question:

15 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence the number of persons within his Department who are currently operating on a work-sharing basis; and if he intends to encourage a higher percentage of his staff to become involved in work-sharing.

The number of civil servants currently engaged on a job-sharing basis in the Department of Defence is 30. If any further members of staff wish to avail of job-sharing arrangements I will have their requests sympathetically considered in accordance with the terms of the scheme.
