54 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Marine the number of persons within his Department who are currently operating on a work-sharing basis; and if he intends to encourage a higher percentage of his staff to become involved in work-sharing projects.
There are currently six persons employed in this Department on a job sharing basis.
Details of the job-sharing scheme are issued to all new appointees and, on a regular basis, to existing employees. The Department also maintains a database of officers who are interested in job-sharing and, as far as practicable, attempts to facilitate these officers either within the Department or in another Government Department.
