Vol. 431 No. 3

Written Answers. - Kilbarrack (Dublin) Flat Complex.

Avril Doyle

Question:

127 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for the Environment when he received submissions from Dublin Corporation to refurbish Swansnest Court flat complex, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5; and if he will make the necessary funding available to have this much overdue and essential work carried out.

Dublin Corporation have sought funding under the remedial works scheme in respect of 13 of their housing estates, including Swansnest Court, in respect of which application was made in October 1990. The ten estates to which they have given the highest priority have been designated for funding under the scheme, two of them recently on the basis of priority given to them by the Corporation in April 1993. Due to the financial commitments outstanding on approved corporation projects, and the high level of demand for assistance under the scheme from other authorities, it is not possible, at this stage, to designate further corporation projects.
