Vol. 431 No. 4

Written Answers. - Collins Barracks, Dublin.

Ivor Callely

Question:

61 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Defence the use which will be made of Collins Barracks by the Army in the future; whether it is proposed to retain any Army presence in the barracks; the proposals, if any, he has for the fine buildings in Collins Barracks; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As I indicated in reply to Question No. 10 on 20 May, 1993 the future of Collins Barracks, Dublin is being considered in consultation with the Ministers for Finance, Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht and Education. It is envisaged that a military presence will remain at the barracks.
