Question:58 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for the Environment when he will introduce the changes in driver testing and provisional licence criteria as required by the EC.
Written Answers - Driver Testing Criteria.
The Second EC Directive on driving licences requires certain changes in relation to the driver testing regime to be implemented by 1 July, 1996. The laws, regulations or administrative provisions necessary to comply with the Directive are required to be adopted before 1 July 1994. Appropriate regulations to provide for the necessary changes will be made in good time to meet that deadline.
