Question:81 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he intends to provide funding to the National Gallery to ensure that the roof repairs are carried out in 1993.

The Deputy may be aware of the major refurbishment currently in progress on the 1968 wing of the National Gallery, at a total cost to the Exchequer of £6 million. As part of this refurbishment, any necessary work on the roofs will be carried out. However, I am advised that these works will be of a minor nature.
