Written Answers - County Wexford Remedial Teacher Appointments.

95 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Education if she will give a list of the national schools in County Wexford to which the three new remedial teachers will be appointed in September 1993.

96 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in appointing a remedial teacher to Blackwater National School, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, as the school has met all the necessary requirements; and when this post will be filled.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 95 and 96 together.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that, following further consideration, five remedial teaching posts are being allocated to national schools in County Wexford, with effect from September 1993.

The school selected for receipt of the remedial service on a shared basis are as follows:

1. Scoil Muire, Danescastle, County Wexford.

Clongeen National School, County Wexford.

2. Scoil Pádraig Naofa, Courtnacuddy, County Wexford.

Rathnure National School, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.

3. Oulart National School, Gorey, County Wexford.

Ballaghkeene National School, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.

St. Bridget's National School, Blackwater, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.

4. St. Patrick's National School, Crossabeg, County Wexford.

Glenbrien National School, County Wexford.

St. David's National School, Oylegate, County Wexford.
Ballymurn National School, County Wexford.
5. Glynn National School, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.
Barntown National School, County Wexford.
The Deputy will note that Blackwater National School is included among the selected schools.
My Department will be in contact with the schools shortly to make the necessary arrangements.
