Question:23 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Health if he has any plans to review the pay and conditions of student psychiatric nurses.

Claims for improvements in pay and conditions of psychiatric nurses, including student nurses, have been submitted by the unions representing nurses. These claims will be processed through the industrial relations procedures. These procedures provide an equal opportunity for both management and staff to discuss the relevant issues in detail.
In the circumstances, it would be inappropriate for me to intervene in matters which will be processed through the industrial relations procedures.
