Question:189 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will re-examine the details of a buy-out purchase deal in respect of Land Commission land (details supplied) in County Cork.

The original closing date for acceptance of the special Land Commission annuity buy-out offer was 31 March 1993 and it was extended by the Government to 31 May 1993. The person named was offered a discount of over £5,000 in the buy-out price of his land annuity. He did not take up the offer by 31 May 1993 and the question of a further reduction does not arise.
