Question:248 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Education when she will give the go-ahead for the refurbishment of the Holy Spirit national school, Ballymun, Dublin 11; and the reason this work has not yet gone to tender.

The question of a major refurbishment of the Holy Spirit national school buildings, Ballymun, Dublin 11 is under examination in my Department at present. I anticipate that this examination will be completed shortly. The proposed project will then be considered for inclusion in the Department's building programme in the light of objective criteria related to relevant educational, building and financial factors.
