Vol. 432 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dunboyne (Meath) School.

Mary Wallace

Question:

262 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Education if, with reference to the crisis regarding post-primary school places in Dunboyne, County Meath, the low cost masonry-type structure, acceptable to parents, will be in place for September 1994, regardless of the management structure.

I would refer the Deputy to my replies to Dáil Questions Nos. 97 and 98, on 2 June 1993.

There is no specific timescale yet for the establishment of this new school, but the needs of the area are being carefully monitored. When detailed architectural planning is initiated inclusion of this project in the capital programme will be considered further in the light all relevant factors.
