127 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education the precise date on which her attention was first drawn to the requirement for extra places at Scoil Iognáid Rís, Naas, County Kildare; if she will outline the sequence of events, in terms of developmental stages, with precise dates since then; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I became aware of the position at this school in responding to the Deputy's Question No. 522 of 10 February 1993.
By letter of 17 May 1993 the Stage 4 plans (Detail Design Documentation) were approved, subject to confirmation of some minor details and the school were authorised to proceed with the preparation of the Stage 5 plans (Bills of Quantities). This submission is now awaited in the Department.
