Question:

153 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if his attention has been drawn to the difficulties being experienced by Irish Edible Oils Ltd., Marsh Road, Drogheda, County Louth, in gaining approval from his Department to allow this company to refine edible oils for export purposes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The premises of the firm in question does not comply with the requirements of Council Directive 92/5 EEC and at present cannot be approved as an export premises until the necessary requirements can be complied with. A letter in this regard has issued from my Department to the firm.
