Vol. 432 No. 6
86 Mr. Deasy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs if he, on behalf of the Government, has, or is, contemplating inviting the Queen of England to pay an official visit to Ireland.
In accordance with international practice an official visit by a Head of State would be a matter for agreement between the two Governments concerned. A visit such as that referred to in the Deputy's question is not under consideration between the Irish and British Governments.
