Vol. 433 No. 2

Written Answers. - Maastricht Treaty.

Phil Hogan

Question:

124 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education the initiatives, if any, she will be taking, legislative or otherwise, to comply with the terms of the Maastricht Treaty; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The Maastricht Treaty has been signed by all the member states of the Community, however, it has not yet been ratified by all. The question of initiatives at national level does not arise until the process of ratification has been completed.
