68 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction will be given for the extension of the Ballymakenny group water scheme, Drogheda, County Louth, to service 50 extra applicants at Sandpit; the conditions under which the extension will operate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Plans for this proposal have recently been received and are at present under examination in my Department. However, having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when the scheme may be approved.
