Written Answers. - Electricity Supply.

John O'Leary

Question:

120 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when he will have arrangements made for the provision of finance for the ESB to enable electricity to be supplied to the agricultural holding of a person (details supplied) in County Kerry under an EC scheme approved by the ESB some time ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter having regard to the loss of potential income in 1993 to the applicant and other applicants in similar circumstances.

The application in question was recently approved in my Department. The ESB will be in touch with the applicant shortly to quote him terms for supply. As soon as the ESB are notified of acceptance of the terms, the applicant will be placed on their work programme and the supply will be connected in due course.

Question:

121 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when an electricity supply will be provided to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo which has been approved under the rural electrification scheme having regard to the urgency of the case.

The application in question was recently approved in my Department. The ESB will be in touch with the applicant shortly to quote him terms for supply. As soon as the ESB are notified of acceptance for the terms, the applicant will be placed on their work programme and the supply will be connected in due course.
