The regional mental handicap co-ordinating committees in the Mid-Western Health Board region and the South-Eastern Health Board region are in the process of being reappointed. Names will be forwarded to the Deputy when available.
The position in the North Western Health Board region is that there are two parent-families advisory committees, one for Sligo-Leitrim, and one for the Donegal community care areas. These committees advise the chief executive officer and other senior managers on the provision and development of services. Additionally, senior managers of the board have regular liaison with the Sisters of La Sagesse, Cregg House, Sligo, with regard to service provision.
