Written Answers. - Castleknock (Dublin) Second-Level School.

Nora Owen

Question:

154 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education if she has had arrangements made for a second study to be carried out on the need for a second level school in Castleknock, Dublin 15; if so, if she will give details of the terms of reference of such a study; the person responsible for carrying out the study; the persons from whom that person will be seeking submissions; if she has satisfied herself that the period for the carrying out of this study is satisfactory in view of the fact that schools will be closed; and if she will give a commitment that this report will be published.

I have decided to have a further study carried out on the second-level needs of Castleknock, Dublin 15. The terms of reference and other details regarding the proposed study referred to by the Deputy are being finalised in my Department.

It is my intenion that, when the report has been completed and assessed in my Department, it will be made available to the local interest groups.
