90 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Marine the number of foreign-registered fishing boats arrested by our fishery protection vessels from 1 January 1993 to date and the countries of registration; the port to which they were brought; and the fines imposed in each case.

Since 1 January 1993 to date, 45 foreign registered fishing vessels have been detained by the Naval Service. The details requested by the Deputy are given in the following table.
