Question:155 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education the dates when the Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate results will be published; and whether the computerisation of processing results will speed up this process.
Written Answers. - Leaving-Junior Certificate Results.
Given that the examiners appointed to correct the candidates scripts must be given a reasonable length of time to complete their work, there is little scope for issuing the Leaving Certificate results any earlier than is the practice since the computerisation of the examination results in 1989. In this regard it is expected that the results of this year's Leaving Certificate Examination will issue in week commencing 16 August. The Junior Certificate results will be issued to schools subsequently at the earliest possible date.
